My daughter has been taking suboxone for a while. She seems to be doing well. My biggest concern in her recovery is that she is experiencing psychosis. I am not sure where this is coming from. Can the suboxone cause psychosis in my daughter?

Usually you don’t see psychosis in people taking suboxone for opiate addictions. This is because it is not meant to be a long term solution. It is only meant to be an aid in the detox process.

Psychosis is a dangerous side effect. It is hard to know if it is a sympton of the suboxone without knowing how long she has been taking it. It is probably a sympton if there has been long term use.
