My parents staged an intervention and I'm going to drug rehab. Maybe it will help maybe it won't. The doctors say they are going to put me on suboxone. Does this medication really help with addiction?

Suboxone has made a big difference in the lives of many people who struggled with drug addiction. Suboxone can be used to block the effects of opiates so that your withdrawal symptoms are not as intense and unbearable.

I was an absolute wreck and close to death before I got started on suboxone treatment. Now I'm five years sober and I'm forever grateful that I followed through and persevered through treatment.

That is crazy, I've never heard of anything like that before. How does it make sense to treat drug addiction with more drugs?

I've spent 10 years working in a drug addiction rehabilitation center, and many of our patients have found sober success in part due to suboxone treatment. This medication definitely can help.
