I'm about to take my first dose of suboxone. What's a high dose of this drug? I want to make sure I have a high dose.

Typically patients will have anywhere from 12-16mg of suboxone a day. It all depends on your treatment plan and what your doctor feels will work best for you. Trust your doctors and try to remain committed to your treatment plan.

I think the average recommend dose for suboxone tablets is 16/4 mg in a single daily dose. I'm not a doctor but from what I've heard this is a pretty good dose. You don't want to have too much or you run the risk of abusing this medication.

Anything higher than 24mg/6mg has not been proven to provide any benefit to patients. I would talk to your doctor about what the right dosage is for you and trust their advice.

You don't want to take too much suboxone as this can make you feel sick and increase your side effects. Just take the dose recommended by your doctor, which will probably fall somewhere between 12-16mg.

Don't take suboxone. My brother took it and he still died from his drug addiction.
