My husband became addicted to opioids after he had a major operation. He wants to quit using and heard that Suboxone may be able to help. I’m nervous about him taking it through. Is Suboxone safe to take?

Suboxone isn’t safe for anyone to use on their own. They need to be monitored by medical professional to make sure that they take it properly.

Suboxone is designed to not only help someone be able to quit using drugs by minimizing withdrawal symptoms, but it also diminishes the cravings to use. This makes achieving sobriety easier. When taken properly, Suboxone is completely safe and effective.

Your husband needs to talk to his doctor to find out if Suboxone would be safe for him to take. It can have some adverse reactions if it is taken with certain medications so your husband needs to make sure that all of the medications he has to take on a regular basis are safe for him to take with Suboxone.

If Suboxone isn’t abused, it’s safe to use for quite a long time. It should never be taken in excess or injected or snorted as this could lead to an overdose.
