My son wants to stop using opioids, but a friend told him that taking Suboxone is difficult and dangerous. He doesn't want to inject anything into himself. How do you take Suboxone, if you don't inject it?

If your son really wants to get sober, he needs to get a grip and go to see a doctor to find out the truth about Suboxone. His friend is lying to him just to make him worry.

Suboxone is very safe to take when done so properly. It should never be injected because it can lead to an overdose.

When a doctor prescribes someone Suboxone, he or she explains how much the person is supposed to take and how to take it. Both Suboxone tablets and films are placed under the tongue and slowly absorbed into the blood stream.

Suboxone is absorbed into the blood stream in tablet or film form. It's not injected.
