is my suboxone doc crazy

The doctor who is getting me set up on my suboxone treatment said I can't take my anxiety pills at the same time. I find that ridiculous. Is this normal or is my doctor crazy?

No, your doctor is not crazy. Suboxone and anxiety medications can interact and cause worse side effects. That's why your doctor is likely trying to help you find an alternative for your anxiety during this time.

It's totally normal to not be able to take your anxiety medication when you're on suboxone. These meds interact and can cause bigger problems for you. Please listen to and respect your doctor - they are doing their best to help you.

Anxiety medications are important to you, and I get that, but you need to listen to your doctor. The anxiety pills you take won't work with Suboxone, so your doctor will find you something else.

Anyone who deals with drugs is crazy.
