I want to start taking Suboxone, but I don't want my drug habits to be put in any record that can be looked at later. What do doctors test for before they prescribe you Suboxone.

In order to safely prescribe Suboxone, doctors need to know what you are taking. If you were to take Suboxone while you were still high from taking other drugs, you would feel horrible withdrawal symptoms if you take it.

Your record is confidential when you get help for a drug addiction. The doctor may need to run tests to make sure that your body is healthy enough for the treatment.

Doctors often test to find out what your blood pressure is and how strong your heart is. They want to be sure that you are healthy enough to use Suboxone before they prescribe it to you.

Doctors don't test for anything when they prescribe Suboxone. They simply ask you what drugs you've been using and how often you use them. It's best to be honest with them but you don't have to worry about them testing to prove what you are on.
