My son wants to stop using opioids but is afraid to take Suboxone. He thinks that it is going to make him behave differently and doesn’t want anyone to know that he is using it. How does Suboxone effect someone when they take it.

Some people notice that they develop insomnia, anxiety and depression when they take Suboxone. If your son starts to notice any of these changes, he should talk to his doctor right away so that he can get the counseling that he needs.

When your son takes Suboxone, he will not experience as intense of withdrawal symptoms as he would if he tried to quit cold turkey. The Suboxone doesn’t cause any side effects that could affect his personality.

Your son will be grumpy when he quits using drugs no matter if he takes Suboxone or not. This is because he has to get used to living his life as a sober person which can be hard at first.

Most people show no significant change in their personality when they take Suboxone. This is because Suboxone isn’t a mood enhancer. It is simply a chemical component that makes recovering from addiction easier.
