I recently got put on medications from my doctor for allergies. I have been taking Suboxone through a treatment center, but didn't want to tell him about it. What medications should you avoid when taking Suboxone?

Why didn't you tell your doctor that you were on Suboxone? He or she needs to know what medicines you are on to ensure you don't have a bad interaction when you take them. Call your doctor and let him or her know you are taking Suboxone to ensure you are safe to take the allergy medicine.

Suboxone should never be taken with antidepressants, painkillers, sleeping pills or sedatives. They can cause a bad interaction which could be deadly.

You should be fine to take allergy medicine with Suboxone as long as they aren't designed for nighttime use.

Read the warning labels with the allergy medicine or talk to the pharmacist. They should be able to let you know if it's safe or not.

Suboxone should never be taken with any other medicines without talking to your prescriber first. Contact the treatment facility and make sure it is safe for you to take the medications with your Suboxone treatment.
